In the first phase of the national Foundation recruitment round applicants are matched to a Foundation School for their 2 year programme through the online recruitment system based on their application score and Foundation School preferences. The following report outlines the results for the Peninsula Medical School students of this process for the August 2018 intake.

The Peninsula Foundation School organised an event to help students matched to the School for August 2018 make their individual job preferences in stage 2 of the application process. The Welcome Event was held on Friday 23rd March 2018 at the RILD Building, Exeter and a team from each trust attended including Foundation Programme Directors, Foundation Programme Managers/Administrators and current Foundation trainees. The GP development day is an annual half day hosted by the Foundation School for F2 supervisors in General Practice and delivered in 2 venues; Exeter and Cornwall.The aims of the event were to enable GP supervisors to share experiences, build on their knowledge and skills as educationalists and receive feedback and an update from the Foundation School.
