Welcome to the Peninsula Foundation recruitment pages.
We're delighted that you are interested in Foundation training in the Peninsula. It is a wonderful place to train and live. We offer a wide range of posts in a variety of settings and are confident that you will find a fantastic training experience here that will give you a high quality, solid foundation to your career as a doctor.
We currently provide two year Foundation programmes (F1/F2) and on occasion a number of one year F2 Stand Alone programmes and welcome applications from all eligible candidates.
Recruitment for F2 Stand-alone Foundation Programmes is a national process managed by the UKFPO. Vacancies will be advertised on the Oriel recruitment system. We do not recruit to any vacancies locally.
All posts commence in August each year.
Peninsula Welcome Event 19th March 2026
For all applicants allocated to the Peninsula Foundation school for a 2 year programme starting in August 2026 we will be holding an online Welcome Event on Thursday 19th March 2026. You will be sent details of how to join this event on School allocation day.
During the event we will let you know about Foundation training options and also each of our acute hospitals will deliver a presentation on their location. There will also be a chance to ask questions before you need to submit your Group ranking preferences.
