Foundation Doctor Representatives to the Peninsula Foundation School Committee 

Information about the role of the Foundation Doctor Representatives to the Peninsula Foundation School Committee.

Term of office:

1.  Elected Foundation Doctors will serve on the Foundation School Committee for a period of 12 months.

2.  Two months’ notice will be required to stand down as a member of the Committee.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.  To attend Foundation School Committee meetings and disseminate relevant information to foundation doctors in the Peninsula.

2.  To participate in other educational meetings as they arise.

3.  To consult with and represent the interests of fellow foundation doctors in the Peninsula.

4. To meet with local trust appointed Foundation Doctor Representatives to foster closer links with the wider Foundation Doctor Cohort and improve communication and feedback to and from the Foundation School and committee.

5. To take a proactive approach to improving training including supporting any Deanery appointed Foundation Fellows and the local trust Foundation Doctor Reps working to embed the ENHANCE programme across the South West Foundation School footprint.

6.  To be one of two Peninsula Foundation School Representatives for the Foundation Doctors Advisory Committee (FDAB) and as such will need to attend FDAB meetings.  (Please also see FDAB Job Description).
